Glenn Stroh is a conductor, organist, and music educator specializing in the vocal and musical formation of young singers. Based in Dallas, Texas, he serves as Organist and Choirmaster at St. Mark’s School of Texas, where he has been a member of the faculty since 2011. His work encompasses not only the development of healthy vocal technique in unchanged and changing voices, but the comprehensive formation of young musicians through music literacy, sight-singing, rhythm, aural skills, ensemble discipline, and stylistic understanding.

 

Through his leadership of the St. Mark’s Choir, Mr. Stroh has developed a choral program grounded in musical excellence, disciplined ensemble singing, and the belief that young singers can engage meaningfully with music of the highest caliber. The program encompasses more than 80 boys across nine grades, singing regularly for Choral Evensong, chapel services, major school events, and concerts. Under his direction, the choir has toured extensively, including recent residencies at Durham Cathedral and Westminster Abbey in 2026.

 

Mr. Stroh’s choristers have been featured in international recording and media projects to critical acclaim. His work with the St. Mark’s Choir is featured in the Fugue State Films documentary Lighten Our Darkness: Illuminating Choral Evensong, directed by Steven Benson and Will Fraser, and the choir has appeared in a nationally broadcast PBS program with composer and conductor John Rutter.

 

A seasoned teacher and advocate for music education, Mr. Stroh holds Kodály certification with choral emphasis and has served on the faculties of Royal School of Church Music summer training courses. His work as a church musician has included appointments at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Dallas, Old Stone Church in Cleveland, and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Cleveland.

Mr. Stroh holds degrees from Trinity University and the Oberlin Conservatory and was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship for advanced study at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany.
